The U.S. National Archives and Records Administration (NARA)

Research Q & A - Calumet Baking Powder Co.

Here is a recent question received:


Hello,
We are members of the Chicago Genealogy Society. My cousin and I have a large group photo of employees at Calumet Baking Powder Factory in Chicago.  We have no date and don't recognize anyone. We are sure there are lots of people who may know people in this photo. We had 2 ancestors who worked for a short time at Calumet Baking Powder. The women have hair nets on. There is a structure in the background and I think a boxcar with a big & sign on it. It is too fragile to take somewhere to copy so we photographed it.
